Cancer Care

Known as the "Center for Hope" throughout Northeast Iowa, Covenant's freestanding Cancer Treatment Center is dedicated to delivering coordinated, multidisciplinary cancer care and support services hinged on meeting the emotional, physical and social needs of patients and their families. It is the area's only cancer program approved and accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS).

Care-A-Van - A free shuttle service for cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments and their families not having the availability or ability to drive to appointments.

Diagnostic Equipment - Covenant has the latest diagnostic equipment available for detection of cancer and other diseases. Equipment available includes: magnetic resonance imaging, CT scanning, ultrasound, digital subtraction angiography, nuclear scanning and mammography.

Medical Oncology

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) - Covenant's new, state-of-the-art technology that can detect abnormalities such as tumors which might go undetected by other imaging methods.

Radiation Oncology - Radiation oncology services are provided by certified radiation oncologists and are delivered using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced treatment techniques.

- Chemotherapy services are delivered by certified medical oncologists and oncology nurses who specialize in the care of cancer patients.
