Discussion includes what to do in an emergency, appropriate toys and games dependent on the child's age level, tips on preparing healthy snacks, and interactive hands-on activities to use when babysitting. May Breakfast - Sartori Health Care Foundation

On Tuesday, May 13th from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., the Sartori Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host its 72nd Annual May Breakfast, which is co-sponsored by Richardson Funeral Home. The breakfast will take place at First United Methodist Church, located on 8th and Washington Streets in Cedar Falls. The menu will consist of scrambled eggs, sausage, homemade baked goods, juice and coffee. To avoid long lines and to receive faster service, early arrival is suggested. Tickets for the event can be obtained from any Auxiliary member, the Sartori Gift Shop for $5.00. Preschooler tickets will only be available at the door for $1.00. Handicap and extra parking will be made available. 
 
Many volunteers will be needed to serve this delicious breakfast, those interested in volunteering should contact Scott Cooley with the Sartori Memorial Hospital Foundation at 268-3161 or e-mail Scot.Cooley@wfhc.org.   All proceeds will benefit area scholarships and support Sartori Memorial Hospital.

Relay For Life Survivors' Reception

Yee-Ha! C'mon Over! Please join us for the 19th Annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life Survivors' Reception.  The event will be held in Tama Hall 107 A/B on the campus of Hawkeye Community College in conjunction with the Black Hawk County Relay for Life.  Survivors can register at 5 p.m. and participate in the Survivors' Lap at 6 p.m.  A reception will immediately follow the Survivors' Lap.  Survivors can dine on Hearty Rib-Stickin' BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Home on the Range Southwestern Pasta Salad, Happy Trails to You Cookies and Root Beer in the Chuck Wagon Dine and Waterin' Hole. The Survivors' Reception is sponsored by the Covenant Cancer Treatment Center.
