Auxiliary
    Auxiliary members give their time and talents to support the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Iowa hospitals and the communities within which each hospital is located. This support is provided through Volunteering, Fundraising and Scholarships.
 
The purpose of each Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Iowa Hospital auxiliary is to:  
   - promote cooperative interest between the Hospital and the community
   - raise funds for the benefit of the hospital
   - assist in any activities approved by the auxiliary and the Hospital Board of Directors
   - provide funds for and administer scholarships for qualified applicants in the health care field.
 
COVENANT/SARTORI AUXILIARIES SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
 
Annually, the Covenant/Sartori auxiliaries administer a scholarship program which is funded by the auxiliaries, the R. J. McElroy Trust and private donations. Click the link below for information about this year's recipients.
 
 
All winners of the Sartori Memorial Hospital Auxiliary were required to go through an application process to be awarded the scholarship based on academics, financial need and citizenship. Requirements included: having a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better; live in Black Hawk or contiguous county (including Bremer, Benton, Buchanan, Butler, Grundy and Tama); be a graduating high school student planning on pursuing a career in a health-related program or be currently enrolled in a post high school health related program of study.

The Covenant and Sartori auxiliaries also contribute to the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF) Health Care Careers Scholarship Fund to help Iowans who want to be the future of health care.
